Living in Portugal

Dream of living in Portugal?

🌱 Is moving to Portugal worth it?

🌱 Where is the best place to live?

🌱 What are some key differences in the culture?

🌱 I want to live in a small village community, how is it?

🌱 How long does it take to learn the language?

🌱 Will I be able to integrate pretty quickly?

The timing feels right - You are curious - You want to find out!

… if only you knew someone ...

It can make all the difference to hear first-hand experiences.

Encouraged by enthusiastic people around me to share my experiences of adapting to local life in Portugal,

I would love to connect with you and share.

HOW you jump into a new chapter can make all the difference.

Tell me more about Portugal and life there

Hi, I’m Q [from moniQue]

In 2019 I took a deep breath, left my job and life in the US, jumped and landed in a small village in central Portugal attempting to reweave myself as a life.

I want to help you see your Portugal dream into reality. I feel so fortunate to live here - that I am happy to share my experiences with you.

What else I am doing and cooking up can be found on the About page

What this is and isn’t

THIS IS for you if you wish to get a taste of slow living on the other end of the ocean. Topics we can discuss are the many unique experiences, surprise discoveries, tips and examples for integrating into local village life and much more, all depending on where us-two take the conversation. It is similar to talking to a trusted friend, excited to generously share the experience with you.

THIS IS NOT a session to find out: how to secure employment, - buy a home or land, - logistics of moving to Portugal - visa assistance - tax implications, - health care etc.   A wealth of sites offer excellent information and assistance on these topics, and I am not qualified to help you with this. [I am happy to share overview of links and resources after our call.]

Now you Know someone! :)

is this for you?
